Talking about the rc quad brand Cheerson, you should be heard of the Cheerson CX22. It takes high-end configurations and can be seemed as one of the top rc quad. However, it is expensive. The model I had in my hands was a Cheerson CX-20 Auto-GPS Pathfinder, and also wanted to put my camera GoPro (not included) to record from the air and this allows.
In this post I detail my experiences, recommendations and advice, sensations and discoveries (with videos, of course) in the exciting and increasingly today's world of drones.
This model drone is made entirely of plastic and is light enough (less than 1 Kg.). It has two very long legs that allow hanging in the central one GoPro or equivalent body.
It has GPS, which allows that if for some reason you lose connection with the remote control, the drone back alone to the point of takeoff.
It has several flight modes, one of them, plus manual and back home, keeps the height and position only by pressing a lever. If enabled, whatever happens, they try to keep the drone in the air.
Ride was easy with a screwdriver and a wrench. Comes standard with everything you need: transmitter 2.4GHz 7-channel (but without AAA batteries), propeller (also you can put protective, but are not included as standard), camera support, GPS, LiPo battery 2700 mAh 3S and charger.
Autonomy is pretty good, about 8-10 minutes of flight without actually hasten much (in theory the manufacturer indicates up to 15 minutes). When you are running out of battery alerts (although I have not personally tested) and in this case it will automatically attempt to land to avoid problems.
The battery takes to fully charge a slightly more than half an hour with the included charger (incidentally, it is important in this type of battery that never drops below a certain voltage values if we want to damage and have a good charger - the breakfast is a little basic- and meter load), so if you want to take flying somewhere, should have more than one ground or we'll stay away.
To arm the drone, the battery is plugged in, and then the transmitter is connected (unlike other devices is done in reverse) and the left stick is placed in the lower right corner. A red flashing light will pass fixed. You're ready to fly. The tune that does is curious.
The green light indicates whether the GPS is synchronized or not. The first time was in an outdoor test site should wait until it stops blinking function to "return home" to operate properly.
Personally, I liked the experience and equipment. As said earlier, costs and gain controls, directly, they are afraid of it falling and breaking, but with a little practice in controlled (including simulators) environments, external expert advice as I could have I, slowly ease you win and the truth is that the way of sustained flight height is very good.
It is a model that works well, is not particularly robust being plastic, the charger provided is improved but autonomy is good, benefits as well and is relatively stable and is not just my opinion, but also the specialists who were me in testing.
If you think this one is expensive, you also can try another one cheap which only sold $ 85.99 at Banggood, which the same brand rc quad named Cheerson CX30S.
